Sir Christopher Chope MP has put forward a bill to reopen discussions about the poor legislation that is the TPD. I say poor not just because these regulations have strangled an industry that we at Cloud Head hold dear but because the regulations don't work and have been easily manipulated by manufacturers of juice and hardware. Shortfills and tank extensions are examples of how innocently these laws are being challenged to ensure the survival of the industry.
There are no expectations that this bill will pass but there are hopes that it will raise awareness and bring back parliamentary debate on e-cigarette laws. This will all coincide with Brexit and potential legislation changes in other industries. As we go into the future as a country alone I can say that I would be proud of the liberal and progressive approach of the UK government and these changes would be welcome.
